Here at TOL we’ve covered the plight of journalists working in the Ukraine in detail, but judging by the actions of feminist group FEMEN, it seems that sometimes raising awareness of press freedom can also be achieved by simply stripping off.

Yesterday, the all-female activist group showed up at the Georgian Consulate in Kiev, topless and clad in semi-militant costumes carrying model cameras.

The eye-catching display, which subsequently saw a consulate employee assault a group of journalists gathered for the protest, aimed to raise awareness of the arrests of the Georgian president’s personal photographer and two freelance cameramen with the Associated Press and the European Pressphoto Agency, who were recently accused of spying for Russia.
