I did not meet a single person who believes in the neoliberal fairy tale that is the EU. They may have been willing to compromise a few years ago when the EU was still appealing, but that is no longer the case. Why would Kosovo Serbs give up security with Belgrade when Serbs in the rest of Kosovo live in a "logor" or camp? They have seen Germany belittle and humiliate Greece; why would Serbs give up completely on North Kosovo to get the same treatment? One thing has united Kosovo Serbs and Germans, neither want Serbia in the EU. From what I saw, only Kosovo Albanians and Belgrade Serbs think joining the EU will bring automatic prosperity and a BMW in every garage. Why? Why when they are actual citizens of Serbia would they trade allegiance to country run by someone who ran a group that wanted to kill them all. Thaci and the KLA wanted to kill all the Serbs in Kosovo. Why would any Serb who lives right next door to Serbia and is a citizen of Serbia want to follow Prisitina. Serbia is right there?
