		<description>Thanks for the common sense here, TOL. A secular Muslim state in this region is a wonderful thing, and name me an oil country that can afford a western style democracy. Let&#039;s be patient with this emerging country. When I was there last year, I didn&#039;t much like the way the government was handling the oil money -- Ceaucescu-like building projects in Baku at the expense of infrastructural development -- but most folks we met there were also &#039;patient&#039; with the government because the alternative (and serious risk) of Islamic takeover is all too real.</description>
